 About Melting Pol

As a pioneer of a new art form – "VeeJaying" – he has been streaming the screens of many parties, concerts, festivals, theatres and others since 1995. He happily improvises and enjoys tuning live images, composing artistic projects and giving rhythm to his creations with music and visuals captured on location.

In 1996, he became the initiator, designer and producer of his own audiovisual shows, the Melting Sessions. The aim of these events is to encourage live interaction between musicians, video artists and other disciplines such as dance, etc.

From 2001 onwards, his artistic career has also included a multitude of projects that take him into other disciplines such as video and other installations, artistic lighting projects, photography and even sculptures. Initiation, conception and participation in several group exhibitions since 2002.

In recent years, he has acquired the finer points of the new technique of "video mapping", which he often uses live in all areas, concerts, theatre, etc. Some examples of creations: in 2016, the Melting Organ project in the Grand Auditorium of the Philharmonie with four musicians and projection on the organ case, the Melting Session 7 project with projection on the exterior wall of Mudam for the 10th anniversary celebration and the participation in the Night Lights festival of the City of Luxembourg with the projection on the exterior wall of the national library. In 2017 & 2018, the MagiCastle nights with projection on the ruin of the Beaufort castle. In 2019, the creation of the Glowing Memories project for the façade of Echternach Abbey as part of the Echterlive festival. In 2021, the LuxLumen projects, for which the ceiling of the St-Michel church in Luxembourg city has been transformed into a projection screen for 25 years – Unesco World Heritage, as well as the projection on the castle of Sanem in the framework of Wanterfeeling.

As part of Esch2022, Final Documentation, the creation of a video-mapping that pays tribute to the two chimneys on the Belval wasteland site by telling the history of the site in a short time span. In autumn 2022, more than 2'000 people were able to admire the projection on Bernard Massard's building in Grevenmacher as part of the event Mosel, Licht und Flammen. The Melting Session 10 took place in November 2022 with an immersive projection in the church of Lasauvage.
