Alfama Creative Studio

Aisha, an architect and designer, has been dedicated to the craft of hand bookbinding in recent years through the Sense Tree project. 

With the creation of Alfama Creative Studio, she expands her artistic practice, bringing together design, literature, and the visual arts.

Alfama Creative Studio was established with the purpose of collaborating with authors, poets, and visual artists through an interdisciplinary approach that redefines the boundaries between art and the utilitarian book.

These collaborations embrace the versatility of bookbinding to enrich and complement literary and visual works. By exploring the malleability of paper and fabric, the studio creates pieces that engage both sight and touch, works that exist simultaneously as artistic objects and sensory experiences.
